Lieutenant Theodor Eberbach, a member of the 666th Tactical Fighter Squadron “Black Declaration,” known as “East Germany’s strongest,” learns the secret of his squadron commander, Captain Irisdina Bernhard ,
after welcoming Katia Waldheim, a defector from West Germany . The common belief about Irisdina was that she had gained political trust by informing the Ministry of State Security on her older brother, who belonged to the anti-government faction, and then shooting him herself. However, the truth was that her brother had willingly sacrificed himself, and his surviving sister had been secretly waiting for an opportunity to rise up. Theodor is strongly drawn to her willingness to sacrifice everything, both personally and professionally, for the future of East Germany. Having given up on everything after his family was killed and he was subjected to a criminal investigation, he decides to fight alongside Irisdina. But then, his stepsister, Lise, who was thought to be dead, reappears before Theodor. While everyone suspects her of being a spy sent to uncover the company’s secrets, Theodor alone tries to believe in her— with various emotions intertwined, what future will he choose…?
